At Fielddio, every software review follows a consistent, criteria-based scoring system. We do not accept payment for positive reviews. Our editorial independence is non-negotiable.

Our 5-Point Scoring Framework

1. Ease of Use (20%)

We evaluate setup time, onboarding experience, and how quickly a new technician or office admin can become productive. We specifically test from the perspective of a non-technical contractor owner.

2. Core Features (25%)

Does the software cover the essentials a field service business actually needs? We check: scheduling & dispatch, work order management, invoicing, customer communication, mobile app quality, and reporting.

3. Pricing & Value (20%)

We analyze pricing tiers, per-user costs, hidden fees, and contract terms. We compare what each plan delivers relative to its price, with special attention to plans suitable for 1-15 technician operations.

4. Customer Support (15%)

We test response times across live chat, email, and phone support. We also evaluate the quality of documentation, video tutorials, and onboarding resources.

5. Integration & Scalability (20%)

We assess how well the software connects with QuickBooks, Google Calendar, payment processors, and other common contractor tools — and whether it can grow with a business from 2 to 20+ technicians.

Our Testing Process

  • Each platform is evaluated using a free trial or demo account
  • We test core workflows: creating a job, dispatching a tech, sending an invoice, collecting payment
  • We cross-reference user reviews from G2, Capterra, and Google Play/App Store
  • Scores are reviewed and updated at least once per year or when major updates are released
